Select vs Non-Select
The Freedom Finger M&P 2.0 forced reset trigger sold today is the Non-Select version. That is printed on the package. Non-Select means the forced reset is always on: every time the slide cycles, the device pushes the trigger forward to reset, and you pull again for the next round. There is no lever to turn it off.
A Select version would add a selector so you could switch between forced reset and the factory reset without taking the part out. As of September 2026 the maker lists only the Non-Select (SKU FFMP-01). In practice the difference is small, because the Non-Select replaces the slide backplate: press the striker sleeve, slide it off, put the factory backplate back, and the pistol is stock again in about a minute. Also note that if the forced reset ever fails on the Non-Select, the pistol still fires as a normal semi-auto.

How to tell a 1.0 from a 2.0
The 2.0 has "M&P 2.0" or "M2.0" on the slide, an aggressive stippled grip texture, four palmswell inserts (the 1.0 has three), and a crisper trigger with an audible reset. If the slide just says M&P and the grip is smooth, it is a 1.0.
What to order with it
- Wolff 4 lb striker spring: recommended by the maker for a consistent pull.
- A 22 to 24 lb recoil spring for .45 and 10mm, or for any 2.0 that shows failures to reset after cleaning.
