Forced Reset Triggers Shipped to Columbus, Ohio
We ship forced reset triggers and FRT parts to Columbus, Ohio by mail. There is no storefront to drive to and no counter to wait at. Everything we sell is a trigger assembly, a spring, a pin or a tool, so no FFL transfer is involved and no dealer has to sign for it.
Ohio law
Ohio does not ban forced reset triggers by name, and it is not on our no-ship list, so every FRT device in the catalog can be sent to a Columbus address. Ohio does regulate machine guns and dangerous ordnance under its own code, which is a separate category from an FRT. Nothing we sell falls into it.
Forced reset triggers are legal to own under federal law. In National Association for Gun Rights, Inc. v. Garland (N.D. Tex., Case No. 4:23-cv-00830) the court held that an FRT is not a machine gun, because the trigger still has to be pulled once for every round fired. The device pushes the trigger forward into reset as the action cycles; it does not fire more than one shot per function of the trigger. - Glock FRT kits — the Glock Forced Reset Trigger FFT Cut V2 and the Gen 1-6 unit.
- M&P 2.0 FRT — the Freedom Finger unit in 4140 nitrided steel. It replaces the slide backplate, not the sear housing, and it wants the 4 lb Wolff striker spring with it.
- Taurus TX22 FRT — the 22TY, which replaces the TX22 disconnector. Spare pins and a bench block are stocked separately.
- HK FRT — MR3 units for the MR223 and MR556, RD3 units for the MP5, MP5K, SP5 and SP5K.
- AK FRT and AK parts — the Diablo trigger, the FB Beryl/Tantal unit, safety levers, stocks, grips and magazines.
- Pistol FRT and gear — the Canik unit, oil, apparel.
Shipping and timing
Orders to Columbus go out by carrier with tracking. Small parts such as springs, pins and the TX22 bench block ship in a padded envelope; trigger assemblies ship boxed. Delivery to Franklin County is typically a few business days once the order leaves. Range rules in central Ohio
Legal to own is not the same as welcome on a firing line. Some public and club ranges around Columbus cap rate of fire, or ban rate-increasing devices outright under their own rules. That is a range policy, not state law. Ask the range officer before you bring an FRT-equipped rifle or pistol to a lane.
What we do not sell
An FRT is not a Glock switch and not an auto sear. Those convert a pistol to fire continuously from one pull, which is a machine gun under federal law and a felony to possess without the right paperwork. We do not stock them, and we will not order one for you. If a site offers both in the same catalog, treat everything else on it with suspicion.
Before you order
Check the fitment notes on the product page against your exact model and generation. Most returns we see are a buyer ordering the Glock unit for a pistol that is not a Glock, or the AR-15 unit for a rifle with a non-standard lower.
